🦜 White-eyed Conure (Psittacara leucophthalmus)

The White-eyed Conure is a lively, intelligent, and beautiful parrot native to Central and South America. It’s easily recognized by its bright green feathers, white eye-rings, and touches of red on the wings and sometimes on the head or tail. Its long, graceful tail and energetic personality make it a standout among medium-sized parrots.

These conures are highly social and playful, often forming close bonds with their owners. They love attention, enjoy interactive play, and can learn simple words or sounds. However, they can be quite vocal, so they’re best suited for people comfortable with a bit of noise and activity.

With proper care, a White-eyed Conure can live 25 to 30 years, offering many years of companionship, laughter, and color.
