Our baby birds are currently still being hand-fed with specialized formula to ensure healthy growth, proper development, and strong socialization.
If you have experience with hand-feeding and feel comfortable continuing the process at home, your baby may go home before being fully weaned. Otherwise, you are more than welcome to reserve or purchase your baby now and allow us to continue caring for it until it is completely ready for its new home.
At XM PETS, the health and well-being of our birds always come first. We take the time necessary to ensure each baby grows strong, healthy, and properly adjusted before going home.
Please note that the price of the bird does not change for remaining under our care during the weaning process.
The Opaline Mint Green Cheek Conure (Opamint) is a color mutation of the Green-cheeked Conure, valued for its soft pastel appearance combining light green, turquoise, grayish tones, and a mint-like coloration.
The Opamint is considered one of the most beautiful Green Cheek Conure mutations due to its pastel coloring. It makes an excellent companion bird as long as it receives daily attention, interaction, and enrichment.
Baby Opamint Green Cheek Conure
⭐ Main characteristics:
- Color: soft mint green, pastel turquoise, and light gray tones
- Size: small, about 25–26 cm as an adult
- Personality: sweet, social, and very playful
- Intelligence: learns routines and can mimic simple sounds
- Energy level: high, requires daily play and mental stimulation
- Temperament: can be very affectionate with its caregiver but needs consistent socialization.
The lifespan of the Green-cheeked Conure (including Opaline Mint mutations) is:
- In captivity with good care: 10 to 15 years
- With excellent care: up to 20 years
- In the wild: usually around 8 to 10 years.
